Christmas in July! The 2021 Ornaments You Need Before They Sell Out

I LOVE holiday ornaments. I think it allows me to dabble in collecting without shelling out major moolah or seeming like a crazy Disney lady year round (nothing to see here!) The day after Christmas you can catch me wizzing off to the Hallmark & Disney Store (RIP) grabbing the ones I couldn't quite commit to. Risky business if you want a whole series like the Hallmark Harry Potter Keepsake building ornaments they've been releasing each year for over a decade. I missed out on the Ollivander's Wand Shop ornament, and that baby sells on Ebay for hundreds.

I cannot say enough how much I love this series though, and I hope they continue forever. You can stick your holiday lights right in the back so the windows of the buildings light up, filling your muggle home with some real wizarding magic. Every year I consider paying an absorbent amount of money to complete my collection, but so far I've stayed strong.

This year's 2021 Hallmark HP Building is The Three Broomsticks! I'm not messing around anymore, so I ordered it the day it went live on July 10.

Disney dropped a preview of their sketchbook ornaments for the season, and I am smitten!

These are not live on shopdisney.com (I will come back and link once they're up) yet like the Hallmark ornaments, but below please find the ornaments from both collections that I've already ordered (Cannot wait for my Talking Sorting Hat and Darth Vader Caroling ornament to arrive!) or will be ordering soon...

Let's start with what you can buy right now and enjoy for 5 extra months! ;)

First on the "already ordered" list is this Harry Potter Sorting Hat ornament that moves, talks, and sorts you into a house! I've heard of these selling out already in Hallmark stores, so I didn't want to wait.

This Star Wars K-2SO from Rogue One sold out the day it went live on July 10! It's back in stock at the moment, but I took its initial popularity as a sign not run not walk.

Set your calendars for this Star Wars "The Merriest House in the Galaxy Musical Ornament" which currently says "available October 2, 2021 on Hallmarks site. Note you need a Keepsake Power Cord, which is annoying, but so many of the really cool ornaments are going that way. I bought one for 50% the day after Christmas, just saying.

The Little Mermaid ornament was kind of a sentimental purchase that I might not have made if Samuel E. Wright, voice of Sebastian from the animated The Little Mermaid, had not just passed away earlier this year. The ornament sings "Kiss the Girl" and the little fish with their water spouts move up and down.

Another limited release, coming October 2, 2021 is this Disney Cinderella Jaq and Gus ornament.

Now for the Disney Sketchbook Ornaments for 2021. These are not available on shopdisney.com yet, but they did release a preview. Some highlights below:

You can view the whole PDF here. Thanks for doing some holiday dreaming with me! Do you go whole hog on ornaments?? What are your must haves? I would love to know!

Stay magic, friends.
