A highlight of visiting Walt Disney World's Animal Kingdom is a trip to the World of Avatar. Like everything Disney does, the details and theme from the scale of the floating islands, waterfalls, and mythical plant-life that become "bioluminescent" at night could impress even the grouchiest Scrooge McDuck.
Hands-down my favorite ride in all the parks is Flight of Passage, where you get matched with your own Avatar and ride a banshee. My mom was so moved by the whole immersive experience of the ride she left it crying (I guess extra runs in our family).
We're planning another trip just a few months from now so I created this Avatar inspired DisneyBound for her.
You can see where I curated all these products from below. And if you try this look please tag me @disneyisaverb so I can tell you how fierce you look.
Ombre blue tank This top also comes in V-neck if sleeveless is not your thing.
Light-up Na"vi Ear Headband (I basically never order anything from @shopdisney unless they're having their 20-25% off sale. Some products are excluded, but these ears are party of the sale).
Shell Necklace **I put in these necklaces bc I believe the accessories really make the look, but you likely already own necklaces you can layer for this look or you could find them at a thrift store pretty easily. I think the key is to wear 2-3 and vary the lengths and texture os natural cords and small beads.
TOMS Summer Skies Alpargata (they glow in the dark, which is going to be so fun strolling around Pandora at night!)
**What is DisneyBounding, you ask? DisneyBound was not created by me (see Disneybound.co ) but it's basically Disney dress-up for adults. You take a character for inspiration vs. wearing an actual costume. Think of it like a fashion wink to your favorite Disney movies. If you are planning a Disney vacation I 100% encourage you to give it a try. We all loved dress-up when we were kids, and we never have to "grow up."
Stay magic, friends.
